Marilynn Giddens Battell: Author Biography

Born in Orlando, Florida, in August of 1948, Marilynn Giddens Battell is a graduate of St. Augustine High School and has an A/A in Journalism from St. Johns River Community College in St. Augustine, Florida. She is now working on a B/S in Criminology/Forensic Science and a B/A in Public Administration.

Marilynn has spent most of her adult life in the field of Law Enforcement with her last five years as a Traffic Homicide Investigator in south Florida. She is married to Sgt. Major Roy H. Battell (Ret.) and between them they have seven children, fourteen grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. They divide their time between their home in St. Augustine and their cabin in Berkley Springs, W. Va. and both are now retired. Writing is Marilynn's passion.
